Get ready for the sQuid Customer Portal upgrade!

Over the remainder of the Summer term, sQuid will be undertaking a system upgrade, designed to deliver a faster and improved service to our customers.

As part of this upgrade, the sQuid Customer Portal you currently use to access and manage your sQuid account will move to a new web address.

For most of our customers, you won't have to do a thing. Simply log in to your sQuid account as usual and let us redirect you to the upgraded sQuid Customer Portal.

However, if you manage multiple users at different schools, please keep reading to find out how to manage your sQuid account during this time.

Why do I need to manage my sQuid account on two different sQuid Portals?

All of our schools will be upgraded on different dates so we can limit any disruption to the school day.

If you have children attending different schools using the sQuid serice you may find that the upgrade will be completed on different dates. Therefore, until each school system has been upgraded, you will need to manage your sQuid account across two sQuid portals, but please don't worry - we will help you to manage your account and make it as easy as possible for you.

How will I know which school has been upgraded?

We will email you in the lead up to each school's upgrade so you have time to prepare and know which child you will need to continue to manage on the current Customer Portal web address.

Simply log in to the sQuid Customer Portal as usual, and we will show you which school(s) have been upgraded and redirect you to the new portal web address so you can top up and manage their account. Any school(s) awaiting upgrade will also be shown, but you can continue to manage them from the current portal address.

Will I have to do anything ahead of the upgrade?

In preparation for the upgrade, the most important thing to do is make sure that your child's Catering purse is always topped up with sufficient funds so that they can buy lunch, snacks or a drink at school as usual. The sQuid service will be unavailable for a short time while the school upgrade takes place and we complete our system checks, but transactions will still continue to be processed.

What will happen on the day of the upgrade?

In order to limit disruption, we will schedule the school upgrade to take place outside of the busiest operating hours as much as possible. While the upgrade is taking place, you will not be able to access your sQuid account, so it is important to ensure that you keep your child's Catering purse topped up ahead of the upgrade.

Will I still be able to pre-order my child's lunch?

Yes, you will be able to pre-order your childs' meals as usual from the new web address.  

Will I need to reset Auto top up?

No, you won't have to make any changes to your Auto top up as the settings will automatically move across to the new platform for you.

How do I bookmark the new web address?

After you have been redirected to the upgraded sQuid Customer Portal, you may wish to bookmark it for future use:

Bookmark for Chrome and android devices:
If you use Google Chrome to access your sQuid account, simply open Chrome on your PC and type or copy and paste the new web address in the address bar at the top of the screen and then click the star icon.

Bookmark for iPhone:

Go to Safari and type or copy and paste the new web address into the address bar.
Click on the upward arrow in the centre of the grey bar at the bottom of the screen and drag the page up. Click on the Add Bookmark option and then click the Save button.

Can I still login to my sQuid account via the app?

Unfortunately, the sQuid app will be unavailable while we upgrade all of our schools. Once every school has been upgraded, we will need to update the app so that all of the newest tools and features currently on the portal are also available on the app.

In the meantime, you will need to manage your sQuid account using the sQuid Customer Portal. This can be accessed on any desktop PC, laptop or tablet. You can also use this on your smartphone's web browser.

The Portal has more functionality than the sQuid app, giving you greater control over how you manage your sQuid account, and negates the need to contact the school office to submit account requests.

Please make sure that if you don't already have your login details to hand, that you locate your username and password. Don't worry if you don't recall these details as you will be able to reset your details when you are redirected to the new portal web address.

Why have I not received any emails from you about this upgrade?

Everyone who has registered their online sQuid account will be notified about the upgrade. If you have registered a sQuid account but have not seen an email from us, please check your Junk or Spam folders incase our emails have been received here by mistake.

I can't remember my login details. How do I find them?

When you are redirected to the upgraded sQuid Customer Portal you will be able to request a username reminder or a Password Reset email.

If you have forgotten your Username:

  • Please click on the Forgotten your username? link on the portal login screen
  • Enter the email address you registered when you set up your sQuid account.
  • You will receive an email from us with your username

If your have forgotten your password:

  • Please click the Forgotten your password? link on the login screen
  • Enter your username
  • You will receive an email from us with a password reset link - click this link once only
  • Enter the answer to your security question
  • Enter and confirm your new password and click Save

I requested a username reminder/ password reset email but I have not received anything yet.

Sometimes our emails go in a customer's Junk or Spam folder, so please check that the email you are waiting for has not been received here by mistake. Please also ensure that when requested, you enter the email address we have registered to your account.

Will the balance on my sQuid purse still be available?

Yes, any balance on your Catering and/or Trips & Offers purse will still be available to use. You will also still have full visability on all transactions made on your acccount. Nothing will change!

Will I need to re-store my saved payment cards?

No. Payment cards you have stored on your sQuid account will move across to the new platform; so you don't need to do a thing.

Can I still add a new user to my sQuid account?

If you have more than one child using sQuid in school, you can add their registration details to your sQuid account, so you can manage all of their payments in one place. Please contact the school who will provide you with your child's registration details and instructions on how to add their details to your existing sQuid account.

  • Make a note of your username and password and keep these to hand ready to use when you log in to sQuid for the first time via the new platform
  • Ensure your child's Catering purse is kept topped so they have enough funds to buy lunch or snacks at school during the transition from the old to the new platform.
  • Bookmark the new web address so you can easily access the Customer Portal.
